For a lot of people around the UK, many are turning to natural cleaning products. Why? Because people are becoming more aware that so many products on the market are potentially extremely dangerous, some life-threatening.
There are items hidden away in our cupboards that make fantastic cleaning products – take a look at our list below and try some of them out!
Olive Oil
As well as being great in a pasta dish, olive oil makes for a great polisher. Use on your cast-iron cookware to make them shine once again.
Baking Soda
Pair this with a damp sponge, and you’ve got yourself a decent cleaner. If you have a particularly dirty countertop, or need to clean stains off walls and cabinets, this is perfect for those jobs.
If you mix baking soda with non-gel toothpaste, this is a great way of cleaning rings off wooden furniture.
Lemon Juice
To get rid of mould in your bathroom, or to clean out that microwave, lemon juice is a fantastic natural substitute for those nasty sprays.
To clean your microwave, simply fill a jug or bowl with water (to around the halfway point), slice a lemon in half and squeeze the juice in. Set the microwave going for three minutes, grab a cloth and wipe away those stains with ease.
Vinegar
White or apple cider vinegar is a good way to clean glass, mirrors, and windows.
Vodka
A brilliant replacement for anti-bacterial spray. Mixing vodka with water, with a touch of washing up liquid into a spray bottle with clean those surfaces very nicely.
