With everyone feeling the pinch at the moment with the cost of living crisis, we need to save money where we can. Exeter Cleaning is here to help with tips and advice on how to save money on your cleaning products.
Use multi-purpose or all-purpose cleaners
Have you ever been sucked into buying various cleaning products for each room or different surfaces? We’ve all been there but there really is no need to splash extra cash on floor cleaners, window cleaners, bathroom cleaners etc. Get yourself a multi-purpose cleaner that effectively does everything! Save money, save storage space, save time!
Use reusable cloths
We know how tempting it is to add a packet of multi-surface wipes to our trollies, they’re convenient and easy to use. As well as being an unstainable option, they can also be quite costly. Invest in reusable, washable clothes instead.
Buy store brands
When comparing big brands to store own products you’ll often find the ingredients are nearly identical. Where you can, save your pennies and go for the cheaper option. You’ll find they work just as well.
Use washing up liquid
Washing up liquid can be used for almost anything when cleaning. It acts just like a mutli-purpose cleaner. Need to clean the floors? Warm water and washing up liquid. Need to remove a strain? Wet cloth and washing up liquid? Need to clean the sink? Washing up liquid.
Make DIY alternatives
We have mentioned before how household items can be used as excellent cleaning solutions, for example baking soda is a firm favourite for us at home. Utilise what you have in your cupboards. Lemon, vinegar, and essential oils all have effective cleaning properties. Visit our blog on natural cleaning products for more information.
